Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 514 - This act requires compliance with federal law in drug labeling. The current language in subsection 1 of section 196.100, RSMo, regarding drug labeling, is removed. New language provides that any manufacturer, packer, distributor, or seller or drugs or devices must comply with current federal labeling law. Any drug or device with non-compliant labeling will be deemed misbranded. The current subsection 2 regarding drug dispensing exemptions and subsection 3 allowing the Department to make rules are added back to the act.

This act is identical to SCS/HB 796 (2001).
